What are the responsibilities and job description for the Materials Inventory Control Staff position at Astemo?
Position Summary:
The purpose of this position is to be responsible for overall inventory accuracy and the implementation of controls to achieve our plant performance.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct cycle counts using the cycle count program
- Conduct root cause analysis when there is a discrepancy
- Make the necessary adjustments in ERP system based on cycle counts
- Participate in physical inventory as scheduled at Astemo
- Process scrap tickets and product returns
- Update the POUS Racks as Needed for New Model
- Conduct chemical counts weekly
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years’ work experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent math skills
- Self-directed and task-oriented
- Willing to work all shifts and overtime
- Knowledge of computer software like Ms. Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint). Must have good working knowledge with spreadsheets.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 year College Degree in Related Field
