Position Summary:
As a Facility Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in our organization by ensuring the proper functioning, reliability, and longevity of Astemo's facility and equipment. Your primary responsibilities will be to perform preventative maintenance, diagnose and troubleshoot issues, and carry out repairs in order to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency and quality. This role will primarily be on 3rd Shift, with typical hours being 10pm-6am (overtime as needed).
Job Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and other equipment.
- Perform scheduled maintenance tasks on a variety of machines and equipment, according to maintenance schedules and guidelines
- Replace or repair defective parts such as; belts, bearings, motors, or sensors
- Identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic problems or abnormalities in the machines
- Collaborate with team members and team leads to analyze and resolves complex technical problems
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when working with the machinery, as well as comply with industry regulations and standards to ensure equipment is operating within legal and safety parameters
- Provide technical support to production teams to minimize operational disruptions
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years work-related experience.
- Knowledge of computer systems and spreadsheets necessary to perform job duties
- Knowledge of both high and low voltages AC & DC
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of plumbing and electrical experience
- Ability to communicate with project vendors/ suppliers
- Proven experience in machine maintenance, repair, or related field, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- EPA 608 Universal Certification
