Position Summary
Responsible for the maintenance of detailed cost by product and model information. Maintains and monitors cost data in the ERP system to ensure accurate product profitability information is reported to management. Assists in the various other accounting related projects and tasks. Maintain and apply knowledge of current policies, laws, regulations, and processes.

Physical Demands: Required to sit or stand for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Flexibly, and ability to work occasional 41 – 60 hour weeks during month end closing or budgeting.
Travel: Domestic travel may be required as needed.
Work Environment: Working in an office environment with exposure to manufacturing areas.
Position Summary

Essential Functions
- Maintain and update both standard and current costing data within the ERP system including quarterly cost updates / revaluations.
- Deep-dive databases to determine root cause of variance items and present counter measures / corrections to management. Investigate all cost variance accounts and items on at least a monthly basis. Report any unusual items to management and make necessary adjustments to accurately reflect product cost data.
- Support the quoting process by providing estimated cost data for GASE, LABOR, and OVERHEAD for new product quotes.
- Support cross functional team in the budget and forecast process to ensure that cost structure entered into the budget systems are correct and timely.
- Support cross functional team to verify accuracy of reported cost improvements and work with those teams to improve forecasting methods.
- Monitor all product cost elements such as defects, freight, duty, etc. to ensure they are being accurately calculated and costed to each product.
- Perform Price, Volume & Mix analysis to break down changes in revenue.
- Prepare product profitability analysis and data as needed to management & assist in monthly financial closing process
- Prepare account reconciliations for certain general ledger accounts assigned by F&A management.
- Assist in month end close & BPR (Business Plan Report) reporting process including but not limited to gap analysis/explanation, profit by product analysis & cost allocation, BPR & month end reporting
- Assist in the yearly budget process and develop new-year standard costs.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels of staff required. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of information is required. Ability to present and speak to data to upper levels of management.
- Develop new processes, automations, improvement ideas to streamline departmental operations.
