Job Overview
Measures, and visually inspects product to verify conformity to design requirements and associated written internal and customer documentation. Generates and or populates inspection records. Works within company written work instructions and procedures while using company approved forms.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Read/interpret customer and manufacturing process and design requirements from blueprints and/or industry specifications and standards
  • Perform “1st piece off” dimensional and visual inspection of machined characteristics
  • Perform dimensional in-process sample inspection of forged and machined materials
  • Create and populate dimensional inspection records using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & Outlook)
  • Perform weekly shop audits of random samples from each machine center (Visual, Dimensional & Documentation)
  • Use company computer ERP System for tracking work in process (WIP)
  • Use company Calibration software to sign inspection Gages in and out
  • Create and populate AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports on forms or in Net-Inspect as needed or assigned
  • Identify and segregate product nonconformities and create associated nonconformance reports for disposition
  • Review manufacturing and rework instructions for product conformance, as required
  • Review special process purchase orders and certifications for accuracy and completeness
  • Compare product to be shipped against sales orders to verify correctness of parts, part & package identification, quantities and associated quality and manufacturing documentation
  • Follow all company written policies, procedures and work instructions
  • Release products for packing, packaging and shipment.
  • Communicate with Managers and/or inspection lead when issues arise that prevent product from moving to next process sequences
  • Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

No CMM experience required

Minimum Requirements (must be):

  • Able to read and write legibly and proficiently in English
  • Able to precisely follow written and verbal instructions in English from Pamco Management and ask questions when instructions are not completely understood or inadequate to perform job functions
  • Proficient in blueprint reading
  • With 1-year minimum GD&T inspection experience of machined components
  • Minimum of 1 year of hands-on Mechanical inspection
  • Intermediate level experience with creating and populating forms in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Able to use basic functions of Microsoft Outlook
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
  • Willing and able to work overtime during the week and occasional Saturday, when needed
  • Able to work in an organized and methodical manor
  • “Self-Starter”
  • Able to work well with co-workers and support a “team” work environment
  • Able to work with minimal direct supervision

Preferred Requirements:

  • Proficient in shop math
  • Prior calibration technician experience
  • Creating and submitting FAIRs in Net-Inspect
  • Prior fluid fitting manufacturing or inspection experience
  • Prior threaded fastener manufacturing or inspection experience
  • Bi-Lingual in English and Spanish

Physical Requirements:

  • Must regularly lift and /or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
