Key Deliverables
Must live in the Chattanooga Area
· Perform setup and implementation of industrial and construction equipment for customers
· Troubleshoot and repair existing equipment for customers
· Provide quality and knowledgeable customer service to customers by assisting with parts replacement, recommendations, upgrades, and expansion
· Assist with on-call, after-hours needs to aid customers with issues that arise in order to keep equipment running efficiently and our customers’ operations running smoothly
· Facilitate Serve as an expert during the facilitation of OneASTEC onsite service schools
Key Activities & Responsibilities
· Provide total support of OneASTEC equipment operating in the field using extensive knowledge of mechanical, burner, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and controls systems
· Offer assistance to customers with their equipment through email, phone or other communications as necessary
· Determine replacement parts required according to inspection of old parts, customer requests, or customers’ description of malfunctions
· Advise customers on substitution or modification of parts
· Coordinate and facilitate the development and implementation of the annual service School sessions
· Provide on-call assistance after hours including Saturdays & Sundays for service inquiries
· Complete expense reports and service work orders on a weekly basis
· Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
· Promote and educate others on Astec’s core values
· Follow company policies, standards and procedures at all times
To be successful in this role, your experience and competencies are:
· High school diploma or GED required
· 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting with familiarity of burners, positive displacement and centrifugal pumps and piping systems; journeyman license preferred
· Computer skills with some PLC capabilities are necessary
· Excellent electrical troubleshooting skills and ability to read schematics required
· High level of motivation, energy and ability to function in a high paced environment with varying schedules
· Communicate effectively with internal and external customers of varying education levels
· Record keeping and knowledge of basic computer programs (email, Microsoft Excel & Word)
· Effective problem solving and strong teamwork capabilities
· Exhibit a “flexible” attitude to suit time schedules, market workloads, various work assignments and demands presented by internal / external groups
· Act with minimal supervision
· Travel nationally and internationally for extended periods of time required
Supervisor and Leadership Expectations
· This position does not have supervisory responsibilities but is expected to exhibit the qualities of an effective leader and provide excellent customer service while working with customers in the field.

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
