Events and Marketing Coordinator

AST SpaceMobile is building the first and only global cellular broadband network in space to operate directly with standard, unmodified mobile devices based on our extensive IP and patent portfolio and designed for both commercial and government applications. Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Marketing and Communications Specialist to join our team in Midland, TX. This critical on-site role will be instrumental in coordinating key events, managing our local brand presence, and supporting internal communications initiatives within our facilities. The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail, a creative mindset, and a passion for showcasing our groundbreaking work. You will serve as the primary marketing and communications hub in Midland, TX for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of high-profile visits to Midland, from initial planning and playbook creation to coordinating with stakeholders and serving as primary host.
• Coordinate all pre- and post-event marketing activities to maximize impact.
• Capture and coordinate photo/video documentation of key manufacturing activities and progress.
• Maintain and update all local marketing assets to ensure they are current and compelling, including facility branding, signage, and digital content in collaboration with the design team.
• Provide dedicated support for internal communications efforts, working closely with key stakeholders like the VP of Manufacturing and the Head of HR.
• Lead or significantly contribute to the development and implementation of a new company intranet.
• Act as the local point of contact for the community, coordinating and managing engagement initiatives to build strong local relationships.
  
  

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism or a related field.

Experience:

Proven experience in marketing, communications, or event coordination role.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Jira).
• Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) or video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
• Knowledge of event management and content marketing platforms (e.g., Cvent, HubSpot, Mailchimp).

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while working on a computer.
• Regularly required to move about inside the office and a larger manufacturing facility.
• Ability to operate a computer and other office machinery.
• Occasionally lift and move event materials and equipment up to 25 pounds.
• Frequently communicates with others; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
