Lead .NET Developer

ASSYST is seeking a skilled Lead .NET Developer to support our client project in Tallahassee, FL, responsible for facilitating software development efforts, analyzing and optimizing business processes, and delivering robust, scalable solutions for complex financial systems. This role serves as a technical leader and subject matter expert, contributing to enterprise-level transformation initiatives while ensuring adherence to development standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a developer, facilitator, and subject matter expert for applications supporting complex financial business processes across large, cross-functional projects.
• Analyze existing business functions and systems to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and process reengineering.
• Lead and support software development lifecycle activities, including design, development, testing, and deployment while ensuring adherence to development standards.
• Provide guidance and oversight to QA teams across all environments (development, integration, staging, and production).
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues using appropriate tools, techniques, and collaborative approaches.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including defining roadmaps, standardizing processes, and establishing best practices.
• Collaborate with distributed cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise applications related to financial systems.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve development efficiency and solution quality.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
• Minimum 7 years of experience as a Lead Developer or Development Manager.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with development technologies, including: Azure SQL, SQL Server, Oracle or similar relational databases
• Strong expertise in SQL and relational database concepts.
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio / .NET framework.
• Familiarity with ORM tools such as Entity Framework and NHibernate.
• Experience working with financial systems and related business processes.
