ASSYST is seeking a skilled Audio Visual (AV) Technician to support our client in Tallahassee, FL. This is a fully onsite role with no remote work allowed. The AV Technician will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of audiovisual and IT equipment for live events, meetings, and day-to-day operations, while also providing Tier 2 technical support to troubleshoot complex AV and IT issues and ensure a seamless user experience across conferencing and computing systems.

- Install, configure, and operate AV equipment (projectors, microphones, sound systems, video conferencing tools)
- Support live events, meetings, and digital collaboration platforms (Microsoft Teams, Zoom)
- Perform maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of AV and IT systems
- Provide Tier 2 support and resolve complex technical issues
- Monitor Service Desk tickets and maintain accurate documentation
- Support computer systems, software, and peripherals (printers, USB devices)
- Maintain digital signage and classroom technology environments
- Coordinate vendor repairs and maintain spare inventory
- Ensure proper safety practices in handling AV equipment and cabling
- Provide user training and assist in AV equipment planning and procurement
- Collaborate with IT teams and support workstation-related issues
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational training preferred
- Experience with AV systems (projection, conferencing, wireless presentation tools)
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking (LAN/WAN)
- Proficiency in Microsoft technologies (Windows, Office, Outlook)
- Proven troubleshooting skills for AV equipment and IT systems
- AV system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and conferencing tools
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
