ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Manages Network Support operations by:
- Support and maintain LAN/WAN, VPN, and SD-WAN architectures.
- Oversee performance monitoring, capacity planning, and troubleshooting of network systems.
- Manage firewalls, switches, routers, and other critical networking components.
Administrator Virtualization and Cloud Operations by:
- Administer and optimize VMware and Nutanix VDI environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter, and virtual machines.
- Manage hybrid cloud connectivity between on-premise VMware Infrastructure and Microsoft Azure.
- Support and maintain Azure Virtual Networks, Azure Active Directory, and Azure overall infrastructure.
Supervises Server Storge and Database Support:
- Maintain Windows Server and Linux environments, including patching, backup, and recovery.
- Manage SAN/NAS storage systems, ensuring redundancy, performance, and data integrity.
- Support various database technologies (such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Mongo) by ensuring proper connectivity, backup, and performance at the infrastructure level.
- Collaborate with database and application administrators to optimize system resources and troubleshoot infrastructure-related database performance issues.
- Oversee and maintain backup solutions and disaster recovery processes across physical, virtual, and database systems.
Maintains and develops Security and Compliance:
- Implement and enforce security policies and cloud environments.
- Work closely with cybersecurity teams to monitor and mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant IT and data protections standards.
Provides general management and technical guidance to Systems engineers and database personnel:
- Supervise network engineers and systems administrators (database administrators), providing mentorship and performance guidelines.
- Coordinate with external vendors, ISPs, and service providers for maintenance and upgrades.
- Plan and manage network-related budgets, projects, and documentation.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Five to eight years of experience in network or systems administration, with at least two years in management or lead role.
- Strong expertise with VMware vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Azure management and hybrid network integration.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and firewall configurations.
- Experience managing storage solutions (SAN/NAS) and windows/Linux servers.
- Familiarity with PowerShell or other automation/scripting tools are a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and team leadership abilities.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology, or related field required, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., VMware, VCP, Microsoft Azure Administrator, CCNP, CompTIA Network ) or other applicable certifications preferred.
PHYSICAL AND WORK SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS
- May require work in excess of 40 hours a week in order to complete functions of position.
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds from floor to table height.
- Physical mobility sufficient to be able to crawl under desks and between equipment cabinets to attach connectors, pull cables, etc.
