Duties
- Conduct regular foot patrols throughout designated areas to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards
- Observe and report any unusual behaviors, security breaches, or safety concerns promptly and accurately
- Write detailed incident reports to document occurrences, actions taken, and follow-up recommendations
- Operate access control systems to verify authorized entry and exit of personnel and visitors
- Respond swiftly to emergency situations following established procedures, including providing first aid or CPR if needed
- Perform background checks on individuals when required to ensure compliance with security protocols
- Manage conflict de-escalation techniques to resolve disputes peacefully and maintain a safe environment
Skills
- Strong surveillance skills with the ability to observe keenly and identify potential threats
- Knowledge of law enforcement procedures, incident report writing, and emergency response protocols
- Experience with security equipment such as access control systems, CCTV cameras, and alarm systems
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for safety or operational needs
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser use is highly desirable
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor when interacting with the public and staff
- Familiarity with physical security practices, fire safety measures, and compliance with security regulations
- Effective conflict management skills to handle tense situations calmly and effectively
