Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental and social well being
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Support medication reminders and follow care plans
- Assist with light housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Provide transportation or accompany clients to appointments and errands
- Monitor client condition and report any changes to family or care team
- Follow safety protocols and provide basic first aid if necessary
- Collaborate with families to ensure care aligns with client needs and preferences
Requirements
- Prior experience in caregiving, home care, or working with elderly individuals
- Understanding of aging, mobility challenges, and personal care needs
- First aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide compassionate care with patience and respect
- Dependable, organized, and able to manage time effectively
