This role will be responsible for designing and building pre-licensing and continuing education (CE) courses that prepare learners for state licensing exams and support ongoing professional development.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Property & Casualty pre-licensing courses aligned with state exam requirements
- Create and update continuing education (CE) courses to meet regulatory standards and industry trends
- Translate complex insurance concepts into clear, engaging, and easy-to-understand content, including scripts, assessments, and interactive learning modules
- Develop exam-style questions that reflect state testing formats (e.g., Pearson VUE, PSI)
- Ensure all course materials comply with state insurance department guidelines and filing requirements
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, compliance teams, and leadership to ensure accuracy and relevance of content
- Conduct course reviews and updates to maintain accuracy with regulatory and industry changes
- Analyze learner performance data to improve course effectiveness and outcomes
- Minimum 3–5 years of instructional design experience, preferably in insurance, financial services, or regulated industries
- Strong understanding of P&C insurance concepts, including personal and commercial lines
- Experience developing pre-licensing and/or CE courses
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, etc.)
- Experience creating assessment questions and exam prep materials
- Familiarity with state insurance regulations and compliance requirements
- Active Property & Casualty Insurance License for a minimum of 3 years highly preferred
- Demonstrated creativity in instructional design, including experience designing multimedia learning experiences such as video‑based instruction, interactive modules, or varied instructional modalities to support different learning styles.
- Experience designing content aligned with Pearson VUE, PSI, or Prometric exam standards
- Experience working within a Learning Management System (LMS)
- Strong scriptwriting skills for video-based or avatar-led training
- Prior experience in sales or insurance training programs
- Ability to simplify complex insurance topics into clear, structured learning experiences
- Strong attention to detail, especially related to compliance and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple course builds simultaneously
- Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and learner outcomes
- Development of high-quality courses that increase licensing exam pass rates
- Creation of engaging learning experiences that improve student completion and retention
- Timely updates to ensure all courses remain compliant and competitive in the market
