We are seeking a mid-level Windows Systems Administrator with 5–10 years of experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience administering modern Windows Server and Windows endpoint platforms, enforcing DoD security standards, and supporting mission-critical systems in regulated or classified networks.
Key Responsibilities
• Administer Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 environments
• Support Windows 11 Enterprise endpoints
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and trusts
• Implement and remediate DISA STIGs
• Conduct SCAP scans and vulnerability remediation
• Support RMF activities and POAM remediation
• Perform system patching, monitoring, and incident response
• Support backup, restore, and disaster recovery operations
• Participate in change management and CCB processes
• Maintain system documentation and accreditation artifacts
Required Qualifications
• 5–10 years of Windows Systems Administration experience
• Experience supporting DoD or Federal IT environments
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2016 and Windows 11
• Hands-on experience with DISA STIGs and SCAP tools
• Familiarity with RMF and NIST 800-53
• Experience working in controlled or classified environments
Preferred Skills
• PowerShell scripting and automation
• VMware vSphere or Hyper-V
• Exchange, MECM (SCCM), Intune, or WSUS
• Endpoint security platforms (Defender, HBSS, McAfee ePO)
• Backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup)
Certifications
• Security CE (DoD 8570 / 8140 compliant)
• Microsoft Windows certifications or equivalent experience
• RMF or CISSP preferred
Security Clearance
• Active Secret clearance required
• Top Secret preferred depending on program
