Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our healthcare team. This position is 1099/independent contractor, servicing from Sacramento and Placer Counties.
Pay rate: $100 per visit
Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Conduct therapeutic activities aimed at improving patients' physical and mental well-being.
- Monitor patient progress and document changes in their condition, reporting any significant developments to the supervising therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on techniques and exercises to enhance recovery and promote independence.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to occupational therapy practices.
- Experience working in various settings such as skilled nursing facilities, clinics, acute care, or inpatient environments.
- Familiarity with geriatrics and pediatrics is preferred but not required.
- Understanding of occupational health principles and medical imaging techniques is a plus.
