Who are we looking for?
Part time Accounting Assistant (2 years’ experience) for Association Services Group, an association management company located in LaGrange, Georgia. Full Time position available in five-person Accounting Department to handle AR/AP, monthly financial reports and customer service. Requires detail-oriented individual with strong computer and customer service skills, knowledge of QuickBooks preferred.
General Job Tasks:
- Operate computers programmed with accounting software (QuickBooks) to record, store, and analyze information.
- Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Calculate, prepare, and issue bills, invoices, account statements, and other financial statements according to established procedures.
- Code documents according to company procedures.
- Perform general office duties such as filing, answering telephones, and handling routine correspondence.
- Prepare bank deposits by compiling data from cashiers, verifying and balancing receipts, and sending cash, checks, or other forms of payment to banks.
- Receive, record, and bank cash, checks, and vouchers.
- Match order forms with invoices, and record the necessary information.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent – College Degree Preferred
- Competent computer and typing skills with experience using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook and Access.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks Preferred
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills with the proven ability to produce high quality work.
- Mathematical Reasoning - The ability to choose the right mathematical methods or formulas to solve a problem.
- Developed professional organizational skills including the ability to manage workflow, prioritize, meet deadlines and effectively manage competing demands.
- Versatility, flexibility, enthusiasm, self-motivation and initiative, both independently and as a member of a team.
