PBG is partnering with the Association of American Railroads (AAR) to recruit an experienced Antitrust/Economic Regulatory Attorney for its Washington, D.C. office. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping industry policy, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting one of the nation’s most critical transportation sectors.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead antitrust policy, compliance initiatives, and provide counseling and training to employees of AAR, its subsidiary MxV Rail, and AAR committees responsible for developing industry standards and rules.
· Support the development of policy positions and lead or assist in advocacy efforts before the Surface Transportation Board (STB) on matters related to economic regulation and other issues impacting the rail industry.
Qualifications
· J.D. from an accredited law school and 10 years of relevant legal experience.
· Admission to the D.C. Bar.
· Strong substantive expertise in antitrust or related regulatory areas, with the ability to quickly develop knowledge in new areas.
· Exceptional analytical, organizational, communication, and drafting skills.
· Proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and member organizations.
· Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, proactively identify legal issues, and appropriately escalate matters to the SVP of Law.
· Demonstrated professionalism and adherence to the highest ethical standards.
Prior experience with an AmLaw 200 firm is strongly preferred.
