Overview:
MxV Rail is seeking an enthusiastic communicator capable of supporting the MxV Rail Business Development team in building strong customer relationships and highlighting our world-class research, testing, and training facilities. The ideal candidate thrives in customer interactions, has experience in inside sales, and is highly curious. The Assistant Manager of Business Development is responsible for supporting the Business Development department in achieving revenue goals, maintaining customer relationships, and growing a pipeline of opportunities in the commercial market. The successful candidate will be experienced in lead and opportunity generation, proposal tracking and follow-up, as well as hosting and managing customers for onsite tours. The position requires frequent trips to Pueblo, Colorado, and therefore, must live within one hour of MxV Rail's locations. Our new team member will report to the Senior Assistant Vice President of Business Development.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the execution of MxV Rail’s business development plan aimed at maximizing the use of our capabilities to promote a safer, more efficient, more reliable, and more sustainable global rail networks.
- Organize, plan, and host commercial customer visits, including coordinating with other departments to ensure positive customer experiences.
- Provide engaging presentations and tours of all track and test facilities tailored to individual customer needs.
- Facilitate pipeline meetings and ensure customer proposals are efficiently moving through the sales cycle.
- Manage customer information, data quality, and reporting in Salesforce.
- Perform the initial qualification of new leads and arrange meetings with the Manager – Business Development and Subject Matter Experts.
- Assists Business Development in gathering information on customers and markets for analysis.
- Support the Manager of Business Development in the development of accurate revenue forecasts in the commercial market.
- Collaborate with MxV Rail team members to ensure positive customer experiences and quality project deliverables.
- Support the planning and execution of industry meetings, trade shows, and conferences.
- Ensures that all duties and responsibilities are performed in a safe manner.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
