The Association for Individual Development (AID) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower people with physical, developmental, intellectual, mental health challenges; those who have suffered a trauma; and those at risk, to enjoy lives of dignity and purpose. We are looking for a Therapist Qualified Mental Health Professional in Elgin, IL who demonstrates this mission and wants to work for an organization that makes a difference in the community.
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:30-5 with TWO late day per week until 8pm.
What you will be doing?

Therapist QMHP is responsible for the provision of counseling, skills training and case management services to a caseload of clients who are diagnosed with persistent mental illness.

Services are provided in family and individual treatment settings with both adult and children/adolescents.

Services are offered both onsite and, in the community or client home.

Therapists are expected to work with a team of service providers within the agency and throughout the social service community to ensure that all needs of clients are met.

This job position may have some work components that can be performed remotely.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Attend scheduled work hours including evening hours
- Provide effective individual and group counseling
- Complete clinical assessments that meet the requirements of program funders and applicable administrative rules
- Provide case management services as medically necessary
- Complete required documentation (IM CANS, documentation including encounters, consents) on a timely basis
- Meet minimum service provision/productivity requirements as assigned by Director based on specific job duties
- Acquire and maintain required certifications and trainings
- Maintain client files according to agency policy
- Maintain professional judgment and performance regardless of personal issues
- Abide by AID’s Code of Ethics, policies and procedures

Education: Master’s degree in a human services field
License/certifications: License preferred (LPC or LSW)
Experience: At least 1 year of experience in behavioral health preferred
Physical: Navigation of stairs on a regular basis
Equipment:
- Computer with working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications
- Copy machine
- Telephone with voice mail system
Additional Requirements:
- Flexibility to work evening hours
- Use of personal automobile
- Maintain automobile liability insurance as defined by AID’s personnel policies
- Maintain valid Illinois driver’s license
- Meet/maintain driving record standards as defined by AID’s insurance carrier.
