The Association for Individual Development (AID) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower people with physical, developmental, intellectual, mental health challenges; those who have suffered a trauma; and those at risk, to enjoy lives of dignity and purpose. We are looking for a Therapist Qualified Mental Health Professional- Bilingual Child & Adolescent Behavioral Health who demonstrates this mission and wants to work for an organization that makes a difference in the community.
Schedule: 9-6, some evenings required
What you will be doing?
- Responsible for the provision of counseling and case management services to a caseload of primarily child or adolescent clients who are diagnosed with mental illness. Therapists are expected to work with a team of behavioral health service providers within the agency.
- Attendance at scheduled work hours including evening hours
- Provide effective individual, couples, family, group counseling for adults or children.
- Complete clinical assessments that meet the requirements of program funders and applicable administrative rules
- Provide case management services as medically necessary
- Complete required documentation (IM CANS, documentation including encounters,
- consents) on a timely basis
- Meet minimum service provision/billing standards.
- Acquire and maintain required certifications and trainings
- Abide by AID’s Code of Ethics, policies, and procedures
- Maintain professional judgment and performance regardless of personal issues
- Fluent use of written and verbal Spanish and English

What will you bring to the table?
- Education: Master’s degree in a human services field
- License/certifications: LPC, LCPC, LSW, or LCSW (Preferred)
- Experience: Some clinical experience with children or adolescents (Required).
- Skills: Fluent verbal and written Spanish and English
Equipment: Computer with working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications; Copy machine; Telephone with voice mail system
Additional Requirements:
- Complete CEU’s required to maintain clinical licensure
- Flexibility to work evening hours
- Use of personal automobile
- Maintain automobile liability insurance as defined by AID’s personnel policies
- Maintain valid Illinois driver’s license
- Meet/maintain driving record standards as defined by AID’s insurance carrier.
