Job Title: Practice Administrator
Practice Administrator Job Purpose:
Ensures the group surgical practice remains financially sustainable while delivering excellent customer service. Makes key business decisions and oversees day-to-day practice operations. Works to expand medical practice to make it more profitable and better meet the needs of the local community.
Practice Administrator Job Duties:
- Works with physicians to develop business strategies and patient services
- Designs and implements workplace procedures
- Liaises with Surgeons, nurses, and other medical practice employees to ensure they have necessary support
- Manages practice and budgets
- Oversees daily practice operations, including appointment scheduling, billing procedures, debt collections, cleaning, security, and occupational health and safety
- Leads a team made up of clinical professionals, medical secretaries, receptionists, patient coordinators and estheticians
- Oversees the supply of medications and medical equipment
- Ensures the management and security of patient records and IT system
- Evaluates appointment procedures and patient services
- Reviews, edits, writes policies to meet HR, operational and regulatory requirements
- Marketing oversight to assist with recruitment new patients
- Interacts with patients and gains customer feedback about the practice
- Addresses patient complaints in a compassionate and timely fashion
- Manages the production of internal and external communication, and other correspondence
- Monitors practice's progress in meeting AAAASF and all State and Federals governmental rules and regulations.
- Understands and oversees the Ambulatory Surgical Center and all associated regulatory and compliance documents and operations to ensure AAAASF regulations and accreditation of the two operating rooms meets all standards of care and operational requirements.
- Human resource manager responsible for recruiting, screening, interviewing and placing workers. Also handles employee relations, compliance, HIPAA, security, payroll, benefits, and training. Also plans, directs and coordinates the administrative functions of the organization to ensure all licensure, educations and safety standards are met. Oversight includes verification of all licensure requirements for internal and external staffs (anesthesia).
- Prepares all agendas and materials for Staff, Physician and Corporate meetings.
