What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Accounting Specialist position at Associates for Human Services, Inc.?
We are looking for a Payroll Specialist/Accounting Specialist. Previous ADP Payroll experience required. Other duties include assisting with Accounts Payable and other accounting functions within the accounting department. This position is a Monday through Friday work week.
Responsibilities:
Enter all timesheet and changes into the ADP Workforce Now Payroll system for a bi-weekly payroll and complete all applicable reports for each pay period.
Provide support for accounts payable function, including AP processing, check writing and account reconciliation.
Assist in documenting accurate monthly productivity information.
Ability to process information relating to the billing and accounting process.
Ability to keep confidentiality of client data.
Assists with special projects as needed.
Requirements:
High School Diploma; Associates Degree or higher in a related field preferred.
Minimum of one year of experience in accounting/payroll software required.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and switch tasks quickly.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multi-task, organize, work independently, accomplish tasks and meet deadlines despite frequent interruptions in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. High aptitude for numbers.
