What are the responsibilities and job description for the Insurance Billing Manager and payroll position at Associated Therapeutic Services PC?
Individual will be responsible for billing, data entry, charge processing, updating client’s billing record, maintaining client monthly statements, processing insurance/Medicaid denials, Medicaid billing and submitting timely claims to all insurance companies for payment of Physicians/Professional services and provider credentialing with insurance providers.
Payroll processing.
Essential Functions:
- Issue bills and invoices
- Make sure that all clients are updated and are informed on their outstanding debts and deadlines
- Enter data to process charges correctly and input correct codes according to correct documentation
- Submit electronic claims to insurance companies
- Understands medical billing and coding, documentation, claim filing, and payment posting
- Address errors for receipt/payment posting and insurance audit questions for clients
- Answers questions and revolves routine patient billing inquiries and problems
- Complies with all company policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Maintain confidentiality and complies with HIPAA guidelines/regulations
- Knowledge of EOB’s (co-pay, coinsurance, deductibles, denial codes, insurance allowable, adjustments, & write offs)
Required Skills/Experience
- Knowledge of medical billing practices
- Knowledge of business office procedures
- Ability to operate a computer and basic office equipment
- Proficient with Quickbooks
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent organization and prioritization skills
- Ability to multitask in a timely manner
Must be self-motivated!
Needs to have experience with medical billing and entry (3 Years Preferred)
