We’re hiring an experienced Automotive Mechanic in Juniata to diagnose, maintain and repair a variety of motorized vehicles and equipment. If you know your way around engines, transmissions, diagnostic equipment and vehicle repairs, we want to hear from you.

Pay & Schedule

• $20.00–$24.00/hour, depending on experience

• Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM

• Some earlier mornings or later evenings may be required

• Some Saturdays, 7:30 AM–12:00 PM, when needed

What You'll Do

As an Automotive Mechanic, you'll perform vehicle and equipment repairs, diagnostics, inspections and preventative maintenance. You'll work on a variety of motorized vehicles and equipment while helping keep them safe, reliable and ready to operate.

Responsibilities include:

• Diagnose mechanical and performance issues

• Perform extensive vehicle and equipment maintenance and repairs

• Inspect engines, transmissions and other mechanical systems

• Run diagnostic tests to identify functionality issues

• Complete vehicle and equipment inspections

• Perform preventative maintenance

• Complete tire services and other general maintenance

• Maintain and track company tools and equipment

• Prepare and maintain required records and reports

• Assist with monthly and year-end inventories

• Follow established safety procedures and operating requirements

What We're Looking For

• Previous automotive, vehicle or equipment repair experience

• Solid understanding of the methods, materials, tools and techniques used in vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance

• High school diploma, GED or related experience/training

• Valid driver's license required

• Ability to successfully complete the Safety Operations Equipment Checklist

• Dependable and able to work additional hours when required

• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills

Physical Requirements

Candidates must be able to:

• Stand and walk for prolonged periods

• Work in all weather conditions

• Lift, push and/or pull up to 100 pounds at times

• Work around moving parts, fumes, airborne particles and chemicals

• Occasionally sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

• Have the strength, balance and stamina necessary to complete physically demanding tasks
