Associated Scaffolding is a leader in the sales, rental and erection of construction access equipment for commercial construction with seven locations in the Carolinas, Tennessee and Virginia.
As a CADD Drafter, you will take building plans and the scaffold estimator's drawings and scope of work to create complete shop drawings to guide our scaffold erectors in the field. Working closely with the sales and safety teams, you will learn the OSHA and industry standards for scaffold construction. You will learn how and why different types of equipment are used to give our customers the access they need to do their work. Job Description
Complete CAD drawings based off of the sales representative's designed scaffolds.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the sales representative team by creating and modifying CAD drawings based on their designs.
- Review all work for completeness and accuracy prior to submitting to the sales representative.
- Print & plot new or existing plans with a plotter.
- Create oversized print outs as requested by co-workers. (Posters, verbiage, et cetera)
- Analyze existing building plans to assist the sales representative with their design.
- Assist the sales team by supplying them with any technical information or data sheets as requested.
- Complete other duties or special tasks as requested the Sales Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associates Degree or certification in AutoCAD or other computer-aided design software.
Knowledge & Skills Needed:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD with a minimum of 2 years of professional or academic experience.
- Proficiency in common computer programs (Adobe, PDF Editor, Word, Outlook and Excel)
- The ability to read blueprints and analyze existing building plans.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
- The ability to multi-task and stay organized.
- Experience with the assembly and dismantle of scaffolding is preferred, but can be obtained after being hired.
