What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rubber Lining applicator position at Associated Rubber & Mechanical?
We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Rubber Lining Applicator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying rubber linings to tanks, pipes, vessels, and other surfaces to protect against corrosion and wear.
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, grinding, or applying primers. Cut, measure, and apply rubber sheets or linings to surfaces using adhesives, rollers, or vulcanizing equipment. Operate tools and equipment such as autoclaves, hand rollers, knives, and presses. Perform inspections to ensure proper adhesion and thickness of lining. Follow safety procedures and wear protective equipment. Maintain clean and organized work areas. Document completed work and report any defects or issues to supervisors.
Proven experience in rubber lining application (preferably 3 years).
Familiarity with different types of rubber (natural, neoprene, MOR, etc.).
Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
Physical stamina and the ability to work in confined spaces or elevated areas.
Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in industrial environments.
Certification in confined space or working at heights (preferred but not required).
Valid driver’s license.
