Position Overview

Our company is seeking a reliable and motivated Facilities Maintenance Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our clients and staff. The Facilities Maintenance Assistant will work closely with the facilities team to ensure that all facilities are kept in pristine condition.

Essential Job Functions:

• Clean and sanitize all restrooms and common areas on a regular basis
• Dust, vacuum, sweep and mop floors, carpets, and rugs as needed
• Collect and dispose of trash and recycling in appropriate containers
• Replenish supplies in restrooms and common areas as needed
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and notify facilities team when supplies need to be restocked
• Operate cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and carpet extractors
• Respond promptly to requests for cleaning and maintenance services
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• At least 1 year of experience in housekeeping, janitorial or custodial work
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
• Ability to operate and maintain cleaning equipment
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and team members
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds

• Must be able to reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb stairs and ladders

Work Environment:

• Work is typically performed indoors and outdoors, with exposure to dust, cleaning chemicals, and other environmental hazards
• Work schedule may include weekends and holidays, with occasional overtime as needed
