Summer Activity Camp: Pickleball Camp Instructor (Miller CC)
Associated Recreation Council (ARC), in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, is seeking a qualified Pickleball Camp Instructor to lead pickleball camps for children ages 5–12 at Miller.
This camp introduces participants to the basic strokes, rules, and strategies of pickleball. A cross between tennis, badminton, and ping pong, pickleball enjoys a large and growing community of players in the Pacific Northwest. Programs are designed for beginning and intermediate players.
Hourly Wage: $27.00–$28.50
Status: Part-time, Seasonal
Location – Miller Community Center

Camp session options may include:

9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

1:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Summer Activity Camp: Pickleball Camp Instructor Responsibilities:
-
Instruct participants ages 5–12 in basic pickleball strokes, rules, and strategies

Lead safe, engaging, and age-appropriate camp activities

Supervise participants and maintain a positive and inclusive environment

Set up and break down equipment and activity areas

Communicate effectively with ARC staff and site supervisors

Follow ARC and Seattle Parks and Recreation policies and procedures
Summer Activity Camp: Pickleball Camp Instructor Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older

Experience instructing or coaching pickleball or similar racket/paddle sports

Experience working with children in a recreational or camp setting

Ability to manage groups in a positive and supportive manner
