We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist / Scheduling / Patient Coordinator to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures using Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments efficiently using multi-line phone systems
- Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes
- Collect and document patient information accurately, review medical records, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for health information management
- Manage incoming calls with professional phone etiquette, address patient inquiries, and provide clear instructions for follow-up care or appointments
- Maintain organized filing of medical records, perform data entry tasks, and ensure all documentation review is thorough and precise
Skills
- Experience working with EMR/EHR systems; familiarity with dental terminology
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with excellent computer skills for data entry and record keeping
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems and maintain professionalism under pressure
- Knowledge of insurance verification procedures, including HIPAA compliance
- Bilingual ability is preferred to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations
- Previous clinic or medical office experience involving front desk duties, scheduling, intake procedures, or administrative support is highly desirable
- Punctual and with good attendance
