What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Systems & Process Analyst position at Associated Potato Growers, Inc.?
The Business Systems & Process Analyst supports the General Manager by improving business systems, digital workflows, reporting tools, and selected IT administration across the organization. The role focuses on practical tools, process improvement, user support, and helping the organization adopt secure, useful technology, including AI. For the right person, we are open to discussing a part-time or flexible-hours arrangement.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and improve business processes and electronic workflows across departments.
- Learn and support the ERP system’s reporting tools, including modifying and creating custom reports and queries that pull data from the underlying Oracle database.
- Support the General Manager on special projects, including efficiency and process-improvement initiatives in plant operations, purchasing support, expense analysis, and obtaining competitive bids for key supplies and services.
- Support the Data Analyst and Controller by helping build and maintain standardized dashboards and reporting tools, ensuring recurring reports are easy to run and share.
- Work with staff to organize documents and support the transition to a structured SharePoint environment.
- Evaluate and help implement secure, practical AI tools that add business value.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Provide basic IT support, including user setup, Microsoft 365 administration, access management, backup monitoring, and printer support for warehouse offices.
- Provide financial support to the Controller by serving as backup for selected accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and related transaction processing as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, IT or equivalent related experience
- Strong interest in systems, technology, reporting tools, and process improvement.
- Ability to learn new software, support users, and manage multiple priorities.
