About The Role

Responsible for instrument decontamination, sterile processing, instrument care and handling and documentation and record keeping related to those activities. Serves as support personnel assisting providers and other personnel as needed, and other collateral duties.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Anticipates the need for equipment and supplies.
- Selects equipment and supplies in an organized, cost effective and timely.
- Assures all equipment is functioning before use and removes any
- Demonstrates skill in appropriate use of instruments and equipment.
- Operates mechanical, electrical and air-powered equipment according to
- Assures emergency equipment and supplies are available at all times.
- Keeps surgical suites clean, tidy, free of soiled equipment and supplies,
- Transports patients to and from and within the facility.
- Assists with preoperative patient preparation and postoperative patient
- Assists with OR turnover and preparation of sterile supplies (e.g. opening,
- Cleans and restocks anesthesia supplies as assigned.
- With additional training, may assist the surgical team as a second scrub
What We Expect From You
- High School diploma or GED.
- Central sterile or operating room experience required.
- Current BLS
- Proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
- Operating room experience (Two years experience)
- Ambulatory surgery center experience.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards.
- Electronic Medical Record Experience.
