Position Summary
The Production Lead plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of our window manufacturing lines. This position works closely with supervisors and team members to ensure production goals are achieved in the areas of safety, quality, performance, and delivery.
The Production Lead assists in coordinating workflow, training employees, and driving continuous improvement to meet established plant objectives such as HPU goals, 3-Day Turn schedules, and BDC 1 compliance.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Production Supervisor in coordinating daily activities for assigned lines (e.g., Mezzo, Shapes, Iris, or related departments).
- Lead by example and ensure all safety rules and PPE requirements are followed at all times.
- Monitor workflow to ensure schedules and production targets are met, addressing bottlenecks or issues promptly.
- Conduct in-process quality checks to verify units meet AMI standards and customer expectations.
- Assist with employee training, onboarding, and cross-training to strengthen team skill levels and ensure coverage across positions.
- Communicate with maintenance, quality, and support departments to minimize downtime and improve productivity.
- Support the team in achieving or exceeding daily HPU and quality goals.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive culture within the department.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and attendance expectations.
- Provide daily feedback and production updates to the supervisor or production manager.
- Minimum of 1--2 years of manufacturing or production experience; prior leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of AMI/Alside production processes, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Willingness to work flexible hours or weekends as needed based on production demand.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English sufficient to
- Read and understand safety procedures, hazard warnings, and equipment operating instructions.
- Accurately complete production records, quality checklists, and incident reports in English.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, maintenance personnel, and team members to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Ability to adapt in fast-paced environment and motivated to become well-versed within multiple areas of operations.
