Position Summary
The Engineering Manager plays a critical role within our manufacturing plant. This role will be responsible for leading the engineering operations, overseeing the maintenance team and driving operational excellence. This role bridges the gap between engineering and maintenance, ensuring that systems, equipment, and facilities operate safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.
This position will ensure successful execution and delivery of products and according to project timelines. This position partners and supports other functional team in driving profitable growth; and the ability support our vision of providing best in industry products to our partners and the end user customers.

Key Accountabilities
- Assess current vs. future capacity requirements and implement capacity improvements
- Apply engineering principles to troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and automation issues
- Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and implement long-term corrective actions
- Lead reliability initiatives (RCM, TPM, predictive maintenance technologies)
- Identify and implement equipment upgrades and process improvements
- Lead and develop a team of maintenance technicians, planners, and supervisors
- Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs
- Ensure rapid response to equipment failures to minimize production downtime
- Manage maintenance scheduling, work orders, and backlog prioritization
- Develop and implement new and existing equipment acceptance plans
- Develop work methods and layouts
- Demonstrated use of capital project management skills to deliver safe, effective, low-cost capital solutions (Project planning, approval process, equipment specification, budget, Preventative Maintenance, acceptance plans, design review, safety assessments, capital request)
- Solid understanding of DMAIC tools; when to apply them, interpretation of results and application for effective solutions (Process map, process capability, C&E matrix, fishbone diagram, FMEA, MSA, DOE, control plan) Drive improvement activity.
- Collaborate with delivery partners to determine appropriate projects of focus, using available data from observation, queries, process data, and working partner input
- Interface with Advanced Design, Product Engineering, and other business partners on the design for manufacturability, process capability, and production builds of new product or product revisions.
- Mentor developing Technicians and interns/Co-ops
- Utilize Value Stream Mapping tool to develop current state VSM's, interpret maps to identify improvement opportunities and create future state VSM's
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or technology.
- Minimum 5 years' engineering experience.
- Proven leadership experience managing maintenance teams
- Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Practical knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
- Knowledge of and the ability to use CAD systems.
- Knowledge of SPC (eg Six Sigma) based techniques to drive continuous improvement projects.
- Strong team working capabilities.
- Good communication and inter-personal skills.
- Strong project management skills and working with a collaborative and cross functional team
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, SPC and process capability. Strong Mechanical Aptitude
