Associated Loggers Exchange is seeking a Workers Comp Claim Adjuster / Examiner to join the team in its Coeur d'Alene or Boise office. Your primary responsibility will be handling a manageable caseload of workers compensation claims. Thinking critically, working independently, analyzing, and appropriately applying Idaho workers compensation laws will be necessary for success in this position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Analyze, investigate, and determine liability on claims in accordance with Idaho law
- Calculate and pay benefits due
- Set adequate reserves
- Monitor nurse and rehabilitation activities
- Negotiate settlements
- Manage litigated claims
- Pursue subrogation, if any
- Provide exceptional customer service to all parties involved
- Proactively pursue action plans for best service outcomes towards timely resolutions
EXPERIENCE: 5 years of workers compensation claims adjusting experience desired.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and a pleasant, social demeanor
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Analytical, strong organization skills, and a detail-oriented mindset are a must
- Proficiency with basic math, 10-Key
- Knowledge of and ability to interpret Idaho workers compensation laws
- Apply Social Security, Medicare, and other offsets or deductions
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with multiple priorities
