What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1ST SHIFT WAREHOUSE RECEIVING CLERK/INBOUND FREIGHT CHECKER position at Associated Grocers of the South, Inc.?
- $18 per hour starting pay
- Mandatory minimal overtime sometimes required to complete shift
- Checking full cases of in-bound palletized freight from delivering freight lines
- Must be detail oriented to use clerical skills in fast-paced warehouse freight receiving
- Must be able to communicate effectively with delivering truck drivers, lumpers and various personnel
- Familiarity with computerized warehouse management system or prior freight receiving experience is a major plus
- Excellent math skills, detailed accuracy and computer literacy required
- Shift begins at 5:00 a.m., scheduled two (2) days off
- Refrigerated warehouse dock temperature is approximately 45 degrees
- Insulated clothing furnished for working in refrigerated area
- Non-temperatured controlled warehouse is hot in summer and cold in winter
