Associated Fire Protection is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing fire alarm systems for commercial and residential buildings. As a Fire Alarm Designer, you will be responsible for designing and drafting fire alarm systems that meet the requirements of local and national codes and standards.

Essential Functions- include but are not limited to:
- Design and draft fire alarm and suppression systems for commercial and residential buildings.
- Ensure that all designs meet local and national codes and standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure successful project completion.
- Review and interpret project specifications and drawings.
- Prepare and submit project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and calculations.
- Knowledge and utilization of the AutoCAD system when designing projects.
- Attend project meetings and provide technical support as needed.
- Keep up to date with industry trends and advancements in fire alarm system design.
General Functions
- Communicate effectively with customers as needed.
- Communicate effectively and work effectively with coworkers.
- Keep appointments and show up to work on time.

Requirements
Additional Requirements & Skills
- Employee will have access to considerable internal and external contacts, and the company’s confidential information. Employee must display qualities and characteristics of a trustworthy employee, included, but not limited to, independent judgement and initiative.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field is required.
- 2-5 years of experience with fire alarm design experience is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills required.
- Proficient in Microsoft office suite is required
- Proficient in AutoCAD and other design software.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines is required.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
Salary : $80,000 - $120,000
