Workforce Development Coordinator

The Workforce Development Coordinator will be responsible for the retention of AED Foundation College and High School programs as well as the engagement of the equipment industry in workforce events through personal visits, organization of meetings between key stakeholders, and promotion and planning of AED Foundation activities including, but not limited to pathway events, roundtable discussions, and registered apprenticeship programs. This position reports to the Accreditation & Recognition Program Manager of the AED Foundation.

Duties & Responsibilities:

School Engagement & Retention

  • Retain current recognized/accredited secondary and post-secondary school programs by maintaining relationships with key school contacts, instructors, advisory boards, career services professionals, etc.
  • Build school-to-work pipeline by connecting high schools with both accredited colleges and equipment dealerships
  • Maintain a current list of industry advisory boards from accredited and recognized programs; track and support these advisory boards
  • Drive school engagement in AED and AED Foundation programs and services
  • Work with the AED member relations team to help identify new school program prospects

Member Engagement

  • Drive connections and engagement between schools, AED member companies, and other key stakeholders
  • Manage planning and logistics for school accreditation and reaccreditation ceremonies
  • Plan and manage regional workforce development events to industry engagement
  • Travel with the AED field team to industry visits to provide the most up-to-update and relevant workforce trends.

Other Tasks

  • Serve as an ambassador of the team, organization, and industry in a highly visible, customer-facing role
  • Build and maintain relationships with other associations and like-minded organizations
  • Travel to AED and AED Foundation events as needed
  • Travel to workforce and industry hiring events as needed
  • Maintain a current list of industry advisory boards from accredited and recognized programs
  • Manage annual travel budget and submit expense reports in an accurate and timely manner
  • Maintain accurate database of school membership records and testing data
  • Other tasks as assigned to meet departmental and association needs/goals

Required Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; communicate effectively and efficiently with co-workers and customers both verbally and in writing
  • Strong project management skills; can manage complex timelines and multiple projects
  • Detail oriented, strong organizational skills with the ability to carry out tasks with minimal supervision
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to professionalism
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Some overnight travel is required

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1-2 years of workforce development experience
  • Experience in the non-profit sector and event planning is a plus

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
