The Thomas Hill Energy Center is accepting applications for our General Utility candidate pool. This posting is intended to build a pool of qualified candidates for future interview and hiring consideration as openings become available.
As a General Utility, you will support safe, efficient plant operations through general labor, cleaning, grounds maintenance, and team support at Thomas Hill Energy Center.
What You’ll Do
- Perform plant, coal yard, and grounds cleaning and general labor.
- Mow and maintain grounds using tractors and equipment.
- Help with painting, hauling trash, and plant upkeep.
- Operate a vacuum truck to remove fly ash.
- Support multiple departments and write work requests as needed.
What You’ll Need
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of one-year industrial mechanical or electrical background
- Obtain passing result from the applicable pre-employment test(s).
- Basic computer skills required.
- Experience in plant operations, industrial work, or power generation, is preferred.
