We have maintained these strict standards and adherence to time-critical deadlines throughout our network. 1099-contractors drive the delivery of time-sensitive and life-saving therapies and diagnostics to our customers.  Contractor SoughtAssociated Couriers is looking for a dependable and professional independent contractor courier for one, or all, of the following:Routed Deliveries - Varying routes that normally have a set recurring schedule to them. **NOTE: routes may change unexpectedly based on customer needsSTAT/On-Demand - Pickups and rush orders dispatched from a route manager or customer Backup/Standby - Last-minute fill-in for routes due to increase in daily volumeServices SoughtFor this contract, you will be picking up and delivering pharmacy medications and medical supplies throughout Michigan. Coverage SoughtReliable independent contractors with availability to run orders:Tuesday through Friday 7am to 5pmContractor CommissionsEarned in one or more of the following ways: per mile, per route, per stop (plus variable fuel surcharge in some of our markets)Earned weekly through our third-party pay administrator OpenforceSpecific commission details to be discussed in the pre-contracting process Requirements for ContractPer insurance requirements, eligible contractors will be between 21 and 75 years of ageAttentive to detailLive within 25 miles to zip code 48174Own a reliable and registered SUV, minivan, transit van, sprinter van, or cargo van that would be used for this contract (2010 or newer)Have and maintain state minimum requirements for bodily injury and property damage as primary auto insuranceAt your choice: maintain your own qualifying workers' compensation insurance or enroll in the available Occupational Accident Insurance program for a weekly feeSign up with an EIN as a company OR with a US Social Security Number as a sole proprietorshipBe able to complete contractor-qualifying screenings and online delivery preparation modulesHave a clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations or at fault accidents in the last three yearsHave an iPhone or Android smartphone to use for GPS order tracking and order scanningSupply a cooler with reusable ice-packs to transport temperature controlled specimensWilling to drive in inclement weather to service our customersAdherence to customer required professional appearance standards:Solid white and/or light blue polo shirtSolid colored pants (no athletic wear or sweatpants)Comfortable shoes/boots (no flip-flops, high heels, sandals, etc)1099-Contractor ID prominently displayed (supplied by Associated Couriers Contracting with Associated CouriersOur 1099 contracts are offered to interested and qualifying contractors on a first come, first served basis. As such, time is of the essence in completing the pre-contracting process as soon as possible. The process to contract with Associated Couriers takes approximately 2-5 days start to finish.
