Compensation: $16/hour

Hours: Approximately 20 – 30 hours per week

Duration: 1 – 2 year commitment preferred, beginning Fall, 2026

About Us:

Associated Builders & Contractors North Florida (ABC N FL) is a 501c6 nonprofit trade association dedicated to advancing the commercial construction industry through education, political advocacy, networking and collaboration. We offer students a hands-on learning experience in a dynamic and mission-driven environment. About the Internship:

Our collegiate internship program provides an excellent opportunity for students to gain real-world experience in several key areas of nonprofit and association management. In some cases, we may be able to tailor the internship experience to a particular area of interest and/or the following general areas in our daily scope of work.

• Marketing & Communications: Assist with social media, newsletters, and content creation.

• Event Planning: Support logistics, budgeting, registration, vendor coordination, and attendee engagement for networking events such as golfing, fishing, skeet shooting tournaments and more.

•Education/Workforce Development: Our Workforce Education Director is a super dynamic former teacher with over 20 years of expertise; if you think you might want to become an educator or trainer, you will learn a lot in this position!

•Political Advocacy: Our CEO has over three decades of political expertise. Learn about the legislative process, public policy development, and grassroots advocacy efforts from one of the best.

•Finance & Administration: Learn about accounting and best business practices while assisting with budgets, financial record-keeping, payment processing, and operational projects.


Qualifications:

•Currently enrolled in a college or university program (undergraduate or graduate level).

•Strong written and verbal communication skills.

•Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks.

•Interest in nonprofit management, public policy, marketing, or related fields.

•Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or social media platforms preferred.

•Must have reliable transportation.

•Preferably able to climb stairs and lift at least 30lbs (up to 50lbs for event set-up and break-down)

•Ability to travel within the FL Panhandle; occasional evening and/or weekend work may be necessary for events
