Description:

As a Business Analyst, you will be leading the charge in converting claim, exposure, and operational data into actionable insights that help our clients reduce their cost of risk, protect their people and customers, enhance their compliance programs, and save money on their insurance. You will be working with some of our largest clients and prospects to help them better manage their property, Workers’ Compensation, general liability, and automobile risks. For prospects (future clients), you will play an integral role in showcasing how we can improve their risk outcomes by putting data into action.

Core Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain custom client-facing dashboards in Power BI that showcase:

o Claim performance and trending, opportunities for improvement, and KPI tracking

o Total cost of risk estimates

o Experience modification analysis and projections

o Property portfolio characteristics

  • Extract, cleanse, and blend structured and semi-structured data sources (loss runs, OSHA logs, telematics data, financials, hours worked reports, incident reports, etc.) to create a holistic analysis and complete story to tell clients
  • Translate findings into executive-ready deliverables (slide decks, one-page briefs, research reports, talking points, etc.) that motivate clients to invest in safety, fleet, and compliance programs
  • Support the sales team on new business pursuits by leveraging data and research
  • Deliver diligence reports for private equity transactions that provide a complete view of risk on target acquisitions
  • Identify automation opportunities to streamline recurring analytics workflows
  • Act as a thought leader to service teams, producers, and clients. Always ask follow-up questions, challenge assumptions, and find actionable insights
  • Deliver ad-hoc reports (loss summaries, experience modification histories, etc.) to clients and internal team members
Requirements:
  • 1 - 3 years in a data analyst, business analyst, or similar quantitative role
  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative discipline preferred but not required
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (nested formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, VBA or similar automation a plus)
  • Intermediate-to-advanced Power BI experience (DAX, data modeling, visual customization, etc.)
  • Proven ability to turn messy data into clear, concise insights and recommendations for non-technical audiences
  • Strong business writing skills that can turn complex analysis into crisp, client-ready language

Additional Experience (Not Required)

  • Skilled in workflow automation using tools like Power Automate
  • Experienced in content/prompt engineering for large language models
  • Proficient in extracting data from PDFs and other unstructured sources
