Job description
The Medical Liaison provides administrative support to the outpatient clinic. They perform clerical and administrative duties that help the organization run more efficiently. Medical Liaisons answer phones, directs inquiries to the appropriate person, takes messages, medical transcription, prior authorizations for prescriptions, filing, schedule appointments, and interact with vendors.
Specific responsibilities of Medical Liaison include the following…
- Answer and direct phone calls
- Organize and schedule appointments
- Write and distribute emails, letters, faxes, memos, and forms
- Act as a point of contact for clients and external affiliates and agencies
- Coordination and maintenance of records and files
- Provide general administrative and clerical support
- Assist Psychiatrists and Psychotherapists
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel, in particular)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task
- Knowledge of office systems and procedures
- Knowledge of managed care processes and procedures
- Knowledge of operating standard office equipment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
