This entry-level role offers the opportunity to work with diverse financial activities while supporting the success of our properties and clients. This will be for an in office full-time position at our Sarasota, FL branch location.
As an Accounting Clerk, you’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You’ll play a key role in analyzing data, managing the general ledger, and providing insights that help our management team make informed decisions.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax obligations, and other financial activities.
- Update and manage the general ledger as needed.
- Analyze financial data to prepare accurate and timely reports.
- Generate and interpret financial statements for management review.
- Support additional accounting tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
What We’re Looking For
- Knowledge of general ledger accounting and US GAAP principles.
- Familiarity with an Accounting Shared Services Center environment is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate and prioritize data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and interpersonal.
- Ability to resolve conflicts professionally and work collaboratively.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a proactive team player.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 0–3 years of directly related or closely related experience.
