SUMMARY: Under the direction of the chief growth officer, the health policy analyst conducts federal and state policy research, analyzes legislation and health data, and provides education to the organization and our clients on their impact on the pharmaceutical landscape. The ideal candidate combines a strong foundation in policy analysis and data interpretation with expertise in the pharmaceutical space
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze existing and proposed health policies, laws and regulations at local and national levels.
- Monitor legislative developments and assess their potential impacts on public health and patient support services models and offerings.
- Develop policy briefs, white papers and position statements to support education for the organization and our partners.
- Collaborate with internal leadership and subject matter experts to surface health policy insights and strategic recommendations to our life sciences organization partners.
- Provide expert consultation and policy advice on implications, risks and opportunities to internal teams and external partners.
- Represent the organization at policy forums, conferences and stakeholder meetings.
- Support advocacy efforts through data-driven storytelling and policy recommendations.
- Translate technical policy issues into accessible materials for non-technical stakeholders.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree or higher in Public Health (MPH), Public Policy (MPP), Health Economics, Political Science, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in health policy research, analysis, or advocacy.
- Demonstrated experience working with health policy at the federal or state level
- Strong understanding of healthcare systems, financing models, and social determinants of health.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, R, STATA, SPSS) and policy modeling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
- Knowledge of legislative and regulatory processes.
- Experience working in government agencies (e.g., CDC, HHS), think tanks or multilateral organizations (e.g., WHO, World Bank), preferred.
- Knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare, ACA or global health financing, preferred.
