Role Summary
The Back End Engineer role focuses on building scalable, secure, and efficient server-side systems that power Assistly’s AI-driven senior care platform. You’ll work on the logic, data pipelines, and integrations that enable intelligent workflows for facilities and caregivers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain server-side services and APIs.
- Design and implement data models and database structures (SQL/NoSQL).
- Build integrations with internal systems and third-party applications.
- Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Ensure data security and compliance with healthcare standards.
- Collaborate with AI, product, and front-end teams to enable seamless end-to-end functionality.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Strong coding experience in Python, Java, or Node.js.
- Experience with frameworks like Django, Flask, Express, or Spring Boot.
- Understanding of REST APIs, cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP), and microservice architecture.
- Strong grasp of security principles and data protection best practices.
