Assisting Hands Home Care – Merrillville is hiring Caregivers, Home Health Aides (HHA), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), Personal Care Aides (PCA), Direct Support Professionals (DSP), and Home Care Assistants to provide non-medical in-home care to seniors and adults in Merrillville, Lake County, Porter County, and nearby communities.

Caregiver Job Responsibilities
Caregivers will:
- Assist with personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, ambulation, and transfers
- Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and organization
- Assist with safe mobility using a walker or wheelchair
- Provide medication reminders only
- Observe and report any changes in client condition
- Use a mobile app for clock in, clock out, and care documentation
- Follow infection control, safety procedures, and agency policies
- Maintain confidentiality and professional standards
Caregiver Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Preferred 1 year experience as Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, DSP, or similar role
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
- Ability to pass a national background check
- CPR certification and TB test (or willingness to obtain before starting)
- Dependable, compassionate, professional, and patient
- Comfortable using a smartphone for scheduling and communication
