Job Overview
As a Caregiver, Home Health Aide (HHA), or Certified Nurse Aide (CNA), you'll play an essential role in helping clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. You'll work with a variety of clients, including seniors, individuals living with dementia or disabilities, and those recovering from illness or receiving hospice support. Every day is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone's life.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance
- Providing companionship, conversation, and meaningful engagement
- Preparing nutritious meals and assisting with feeding when needed
- Light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean, safe home environment
- Grocery shopping and running errands
- Providing medication reminders
- Observing and reporting changes in a client's condition to the office or supervising nurse
- Monitoring and documenting vital signs when appropriate
- Assisting with mobility and safe patient transfers, including the use of gait belts and Hoyer lifts when required
- Supporting clients receiving dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, or long-term care services
- Maintaining accurate electronic documentation using our smartphone-based scheduling and documentation system
- Always protecting client privacy and maintaining HIPAA compliance
Qualifications
We're looking for caregivers who are compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing exceptional care.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Certified Home Health Aide (HHA), Certified Nurse Aide (CNA), or previous home care experience
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred but not required)
- Experience working with seniors, individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, developmental disabilities, or hospice clients
- Knowledge of safe patient transfer techniques and home care best practices
- Reliable transportation
- Dependable, punctual, and professional
- Comfortable using a smartphone for scheduling and documentation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while providing exceptional client care
