Assisting Hands Home Care is a rapidly growing non-medical home care agency serving Bergen County, NJ. We are looking for a compassionate, organized, and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our leadership team as our Director of Nursing.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships with clients and families, supporting caregivers, solving problems in real time, and helping create an exceptional client experience.
We are looking for a nurse who is proactive, detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
Responsibilities
- Conduct client assessments and reassessments in the home
- Develop and update individualized care plans
- Perform supervisory visits for caregivers and clients
- Support new client start of care processes
- Assist with caregiver training and clinical guidance
- Communicate with families, hospitals, hospice teams, rehab facilities, and referral sources
- Help resolve client concerns and service issues
- Participate in care coordination and case management
- Monitor client condition changes and document appropriately
- Assist with incident follow-up and quality assurance
- Work closely with office staff, schedulers, and leadership team to maintain excellent client care
Qualifications
- Active New Jersey RN License
- Home care experience preferred
- Management or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and professional bedside manner
- Organized with strong follow-through
- Comfortable working independently and making decisions
- Experience with electronic documentation systems preferred
- Reliable transportation required

Salary : $115,000 - $130,000
