Lead Therapist & Training Coordinator

Purpose and Objective of the Position
The Lead Therapist is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of a behavioral health care team of clinicians consisting of Associate Therapists and Counselors.  The position serves as the direct supervisor for their team by assisting them to support and coordinate the mental health care of clients on their assigned caseload.  The position also maintains its own therapy caseload.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Position

• Responsible for scheduling and caseload assignment for Associate Therapists and Counselors assigned to their team.
• Personnel responsibilities include daily supervision, participation in interviews, coaching, oversight of performance standards, participation in performance evaluations, new employee onboarding, and training.
• Oversees all practicum students and ensures assigned activities are aligned with the institution’s Learning Agreement.
• Responsible for tracking required training for all staff for accreditation purposes, ensure training resources are provided, and that training is completed in accordance with accreditation standards.
• Performs oversight on new client admissions to ensure accuracy and completion of clinical data.
• Responsible for review and audit of client charts to assess behavioral health treatment plans are appropriate to client’s needs and are current.
• Meets weekly with assigned Therapists and Counselors to review client activity as a means to evaluate the client’s personal and program goals; confers on revisions to case plans as needed.
• Maintains awareness of client grievances with program and facilitates resolutions between client and Therapist or Counselor.
• Oversees and participates in crisis intervention and stabilization of disruptive or troubled clients as needed.
• Collects and tabulates Department, Therapist, and Counselor performance data and presents to Executive Director in the timeframe and format prescribed.
• Visits other ARCA facilities for the purposes of oversight of Therapists and Counselors, meeting with clients, and attending departmental meetings.
• Performs duties of Associate Therapist, managing and delivering client services as a billable member of the Behavioral Health team.
• Performs duties of a similar nature as assigned.

Required Licenses and Certifications

• MAADC or CRAADC certification
• Valid driver’s license

Minimum Skills / Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in the behavioral health field.
• Experience operating all standard office equipment; basic PC skills to include Microsoft Office.
• Prior experience in positions requiring clear and concise communication, both orally and in writing.
• Experience assigning, directing, and coordinating the work of other employees.
• Experience in positions that demonstrated an ability to use critical thinking and make sound judgements in alignment with company and department policies.
• Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment, functioning for the good of the organization over the individual.

Salary : $70,000 - $88,000
