Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Worker to support our Assisted Living Program. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate is proactive, respectful, and committed to maintaining high standards in a healthcare or residential setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs in resident rooms, common areas, and facility grounds
- Address work orders related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general upkeep
- Conduct regular inspections to identify safety hazards and maintenance needs
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and building regulations
- Maintain outdoor areas, including landscaping, snow removal, and walkway safety
- Assist with moving furniture, equipment setup, and room preparation
- Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests from staff and residents
- Keep maintenance logs and report completed work
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in building maintenance or a similar role
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repair work
- Ability to operate maintenance tools and equipment safely
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and a customer-service mindset
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and perform manual tasks
Preferred Qualifications:
