The Executive Director of Assisted Living is responsible for the overall management and operation of the assisted living facility, ensuring that residents receive high-quality care in a safe and supportive environment. The Executive Director will work closely with families, staff, and community partners to develop and implement care plans that meet the diverse needs of residents, including those with dementia and developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the assisted living facility, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Supervise and mentor staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and professional development.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for residents, addressing their physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive support for residents with dementia and other health challenges.
- Manage budgets, resources, and staffing levels to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Engage with families and community stakeholders to promote the facility's services and enhance resident well-being.
- Conduct regular assessments of resident care needs and adjust services accordingly.
- Ensure that all staff receive appropriate training in areas such as social work practices, care for individuals with developmental disabilities, and assisted living protocols.
Experience
- Proven experience in a leadership role within an assisted living or nursing home setting is essential.
- Strong background in supervising staff and managing teams effectively.
- Experience in developing care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements governing assisted living facilities is preferred.
